Touched and Warmed Many Hearts

After reading submissions through November, we received this one. Touching our hearts too, Sheila Baize was someone we wanted to show our appreciation for. The world needs more kindness, like Sheila shows every day. The submission went like this; “I believe my Nana would be a very deserving candidate. She was diagnosed with stage 3/4 fallopian tube cancer about 3 years back. She had a stroke not to long after. They didn’t give her a long time to live, but thankfully she’s still kicking it today. She’s on a maintenance chemo every 3 weeks on top of the fact that she broke her tibia bone a month & a half ago. Anyways, after all that has happened to her, she has never once lost her faith in God. Even when she found out she had cancer. All she would say was she knew where she was going if it was close to her time & that’s okay. Before all of this, she worked for 25 years for the state as a case worker. Many days she would stay over, just to make sure people would have the things they needed. Furthermore, we treat every holiday like her last because it very well could be. I believe she’s a very deserving candidate & hope you consider her. If not now, but in the future. She has touched & warmed so many hearts.
