-A cake to congratulate her on her life, happiness, and her future.
Once again, I am so thankful to take part in such a beautiful gesture. The nomination went like this;
“I’d like to nominate my best friend for the October cake.
Her name is Kelly Lewis and she lives in Beaver Dam. Kelly has a heart of absolute gold, and is always doing for others. She owns Subway in Beaver Dam and constantly willing to give someone a chance for employment, regardless of their circumstances or past. She sees everyone as an equal. She helps so many in the community
without even a whisper of her good deed, because she believes you loose your reward in helping others if you broadcast your actions.
Less than a year ago, Kelly lost her mother Melissa, suddenly. Since then, she has dealt with anxiety and unanswered questions regarding her mother’s death.
Kelly isn’t married and often wondered if she would ever find love again. Just this past summer, she bumped into an old friend, that’s family use to go to the same church as Kelly’s family as young children. Talk turned into interest and the next thing you know, they’re a couple.
This man worships the ground Kelly walks on. I can not help but believe that Kelly’s mom sent her this old acquaintance to not only give her someone to love, but to give Kelly something to redirect her focus away from the death of her own Mother.
Kelly often jokes about loving cake. We usually order dessert before our meal when we go out to eat. As much as she does for others, I’d love for her to be surprised with a cake congratulating her on her life, happiness, and future.”
Thank you Maryann Stewart, for not only nominating Kelly, but for allowing me to be apart of her special day.
